Wash day

Well, I washed my hair yesterday. This was the first time I washed it since my last touch-up. I usually wash it once a week but had been busy. Anyway, first I washed my hair with VO5 Kiwi & Lime Squeeze which is a clarifying shampoo. Then I put in Nexxus Emergencee and let it sit for 10 minutes with no heat. After that, I shampooed with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo and conditioned with Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner. My hair felt so smooth afterward.

Then, I put in Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moistrizer as my leave in. I had a packet of it left over from the relaxer kit I used two weeks ago. A little goes a long way. I also used Aussie Take the Heat Styling Spray all over my hair for heat protection and a little Paul Mitchell Hair Sculpting Lotion on the ends (just for the heck of it and I was considering attempting to rollerset my hair).

I then decided to blowdry my hair on a low setting. I try to dry it in sections so that I use less heat on my whole head and also so that my hair won't tangle as much. I had a lot of volume but my ends are always frizzy. I believe they are damaged and not underprocessed since my old hairdresser tried a corrective relaxer on them (to no avail). Anyway, I used my curling iron to smooth my hair a bit further and to curl the ends. It came out great.

My only problem is I always have a lot of shedding and short broken off pieces when I comb or blowdry (with a comb attachment) my hair. I hope that the Nexxus Emergencee and trim I plan to get sometime between now and my next touch-up helps with this. Still, I'm happy to have retained a lot of length. My boyfriend sure took notice. He can't keep his hands out of my hair. :)
